The Value Of Hard Times

As a fellow human I am no stranger to hard times. They plague us all, they sneak up on us and surprise us when we are at our height. Alternatively the hard times sometime decide to hang over us like a cloud for a extended periods. No matter your experience with struggle and strife, I am here to tell you how great it is for you.

We have all seen or heard of the Kardashian family, if you have the chance to watch any amount of their show I recommend it. Its stunning the things they view as “problems” and their reactions to nonissues. The less you go through, the more life phases you. Fundamentally you lack the fortitude to last the inevitable shit situations life will throw at you. Without struggle you lack the mental training to become the higher version of yourself.

This training comes in handy when dealing with how we are wired. We are perception machines; facts really don’t matter to our brains, stories do. The story you tell about your life determines your satisfaction with it. We are wired for better, we love to grow and develop. As long as tomorrow is better than today, we stay consistently motivated. The great motivational speaker and mentor Tony Robbins lists growth as a fundamental need for humans. The symptoms for lack of growth are commonly seen within rich families. Theres no need to develop yourself as a human if everything is handed to you. This leads to lack of purpose which spirals to drug addiction and insane spending.

“It is estimated that 70% of wealthy families will lose their wealth by the second generation and 90% will lose it by the third.”

Heres the vicious cycle that occurs over and over again throughout history. You have a person that experiences adversity as a child. This person sees the value of developing their human potential. These people achieve a level of success which makes their children’s childhood less struggle ridden. These children grow up and want to improve on their parents success and many fortunately do. They become wealthy at a point which is generational, their kids grow up without any real struggle. They see their parents enjoying the wealth but not seeing them struggle to attain it. These are the kids to watch out for, this is the generation who doesn’t see the value of hard work or self development. They may go to the expensive schools but whats the point of working so hard within them? Whether they do the hard thing or not, theres a trust fund waiting for them. These kids more commonly enjoy the party lifestyle which spirals into blowing the family fund. The next generation grows up with struggle, circle repeats.

No matter your starting point in life, you are capable of more. If you push through things that are hard for you, you are better for it. The key to all of this is to seek out hard things, strive for more and more and it WILL PAY OFF. Keep pushing through the days you dont feel enough. Push a little further each and every day, become what you know you are deep down.

I believe in you and I love you!
